All about vaping and addiction, especially the addictive properties of e-juice in e-cigarettes, used for drug delivery (vaping).
Vaping is very big business these days. The devices (known as “electronic cigarettes” or “personal vaporizers” or “e-cigs”) are very high margin retail products. The chemicals sold for vaping (e-juice) are also extremely profitable for their producers and resellers.
Many business people profiting from the growth of vaping want vaping to be related to cigarettes, because they politically rely on a claim that vaping is good for getting people to quit smoking, to ensure vaping remains legal and allowed. They would like vaping to be unrestricted and unregulated, for maximum market growth and profits.
Another contingent in the vaping industry dislikes the association with smoking. They want vaping to be considered “different” from smoking, especially because they don’t want vaping to suffer the stigma of “second hand smoke”. As the non-vaping public grows concerned about breathing in the highly-visible “smoke” exhaled by vaping, these industry players want everyone to believe the exhaust is harmless; nothing like cigarette smoke.
